New Health Professional Teaching Tools

To provide health professionals with tools to help their patients see how California Almonds can fit into their lives, the Almond Board has created a collection of teaching tools. Health professionals can download, print, and use a variety of free tools. New tools include:

One Pound, Infinite Possibilities: Tip sheet to educate and inspire patients on how to integrate more almonds into their diets.

Pantry Checklist: This checklist will get pantries stocked with all the essentials (including almonds).

Diet Improvements: Discussion tool to explore what's in the pantry, what they're eating at work and on the go and how to shop for food.

Health professional teaching tools are the number one download from the ABC Web site! To use these tools yourself and to view additional tools, click here or visit AlmondBoard.com/HealthProfessionals.

closing the gap

While no federal or state regulatory standards for irrigation water quality exist, recommendations based on California surveys indicate a guidance level of 1000 fecal coliform or 126 generic E. coli per 100 ml of water as an action threshold. If levels exceed this threshold, (1) temporarily increase testing (2) attempt to determine the cause (3) seek professional advice to determine if corrective actions are needed.
